ART ATTACK: HOTA GOLD COAST
Whether it is looking, listening or feeling, everyone can relate to and experience art in different ways. Art attack encourages clients to invoke their inner artist and express themselves in a creative avenue. The morning is spent seeking inspiration and appreciating the galleries and installations at HOTA (Home of the Arts). Participants enjoy a guided tour with our disability support staff. After lunch, clients will have the opportunity to paint and let out their creative side. Our Disability Support Coordinator will assist participants to create their very own bespoke works of art. This will be on a canvas which participants will be able to take home with them. For many of my past and present client’s, art is more than just putting colours to paper, it’s a form of expression and creativity and the benefits are endless. Involvement in the arts can boost self-confidence, social skills and verbal capabilities as well as strengthening the cognitive and physical skills which we all require to thrive.

10:00am – 12:00pm: Exploring the HOTA art gallery 12:00pm – 13:00pm: Lunch
13:00pm – 15:30pm: Outdoor art class by the lake 15:30pm – 16:00pm: Pack up and goodbyes

FURRY FRIENDS: CURRUMBIN
Animal therapy is scientifically proven to improve mood, increase cognitive function and improve social interaction ability. Animals also aid in the lowering of depression and anxiety and help to ease the feeling of loneliness and boredom. This day trip is JAM PACKED full of fun and engaging experiences where you might learn a thing or two simply by immersing yourself with these little critters. Just when you thought the Tasmanian devil was extinct! Currumbin gives you the opportunity to meet one in real life! This beautiful landscape is home to hundreds of exquisite creatures. Get close and personal with a Koala, watch Wombats eat and play, feed beautiful and exotic birds, learn some Dingo lingo and make sure not to smile at the Crocodiles. Currumbin offers an extensive range of inclusive activities which are included in the price of your ticket.

What could be better than a day out enjoying the thrills, shows, and attractions at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast. Our Disability support staff will have organised an itinerary with you prior to your arrival on the day, to make sure we can maximise your fun! Would you prefer to go on rides, or rub shoulders with Batman and The Joker? See the fantastic shows and entertainment like the Yogi Bear 4-D Experience, Hollywood Stunt Driver 2, and Streets Star Parade! Or would you prefer to meet Tom and Jerry and All the Looney Tunes? With such a wide offering of things to do and see, one trip simply won't be enough!

EATS AND BEATS: MIAMI
Come along and kick up your heels! Our Disability Support Coordinators have worked with Miami Marketta to create an inclusive, fun space for guests to listen to some live music, and enjoy a wide range of culinary delights! We believe social interactions, in fun, relaxed environments, are a key building block to maintaining meaningful relationships and easing social anxiety and depression. Live performances and visual/audio stimuli can be a useful tool to assist participants increase their ability to focus, encourage speech and singing, and aid in communication.
LOCATION: Miami Marketta, Gold Coast

GROOVE AND MOVE: BURLEIGH
Our Disability Coordinators have come up with a brilliant day-time tour based at the Iconic Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast. Groove and Move is an opportunity for participants to move their bodies! We believe physical movement in any shape or form, is beneficial for cognitive, physical and mental health. Not to mention it's fun! There's a wide range of activities to partake, no matter your level of ability.
Each session will be different depending on the participants needs, with special guests on occasions to run specific musical classes. Reach out to us if you have a specific request, and we will see if we can accommodate!
LOCATION: Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast

Come along and experience everything that the beautiful Sea World on the Gold Coast has to offer! Our disability support coordinators will work with you to ensure you tick of everything on your list that you want to see! Both education and excitement can be found in equal measure, with dolphin shows, animal exhibits and rides galore.
